Speakers on the Economy, Geopolitics and the Evolution of Accounting Highlight AICPA & CIMA ENGAGE 2025

AICPA & CIMA ENGAGE 2025, one of the world’s largest gatherings of accounting and finance professionals, will be held June 9-12 at the Aria Resort & Casino in Las Vegas, with an array of sessions on tax planning, audit and assurance, practice management, technology and corporate finance topics.

The event will have multiple keynotes and expert panels, including:

  • Unpacking the True Costs of a Shifting Global Economy – A conversation featuring IBM Vice Chairman Gary Cohn, former chief economic advisor in the first Trump Administration, Dana Peterson, chief economist for The Conference Board, and moderator Nina Easton, co-CEO of SellersEaston Media.
  • Making the Impossible Possible: Make and Achieve Big Goals – Ben Nemtin, bestselling author and co-founder of The Buried Life movement, talks about setting high goals, embarking on a path to achieve them, and living a life more true to oneself.
  • Navigating the Geopolitical Recession – Ian Bremmer, president and founder of the Eurasia Group and GZERO Media, returns to discuss how events are shaping the global economy.
  • The State of the Profession – Mark Koziel, in his first update as CEO of the Association of International Certified Professional Accountants, and Lexy Kessler, vice chair of the organization, discuss how the accounting profession is meeting the moment.

Other session topics will include private equity investment in the profession, the integration of artificial intelligence in different service lines and strategies to optimize talent.

ENGAGE includes nine broad learning categories: Advanced Accounting and Auditing, Advanced Estate Planning, Advanced Personal Financial Planning, Corporate Finance and Controllers, EDGE Career Development, Practitioners (firm management focus), System and Organization Controls (SOC) and Third-Party Risk, and Tax Strategies for the High-Income Individual, and Tech+. This year, the conference will also be co-located with the CPA Firm Management Association’s Connections2025 event, with all-access pass ENGAGE attendees able to participate in those additional sessions.
