Top 60 accounting firm Prager Metis said June 25 it has joined forces with Toronto-based managed IT services provider Kearns Technology Inc. to launch PM IT Services, an affiliate digital solutions company delivering cybersecurity, cloud modernization, and managed IT services across North America and Europe.
Kearns Technology has provided secure, scalable infrastructure to sectors including healthcare, hospitality, and many others for more than 15 years. Through this deal, Kearns Technology is expanding its footprint in 22 major U.S. markets through the Prager Metis network.
“This is more than a launch, it’s a transformation,” Ali Mirkarimi, CEO of both Kearns Technology and PM ITS, said in a statement. “We’re bringing KTI’s innovation, speed, and customer-first mindset to a massive new market, backed by the advisory strength of Prager Metis.”
Kearns Technology has grown from working in a Toronto garage refurbishing laptops to a team of more than two dozen network technicians, consultants, cybersecurity experts, and analysts.
Services provided by PM ITS include:
- Managed IT services: Infrastructure and endpoint support with integrated systems administration for secure, stable operations.
- Cybersecurity and compliance: Risk assessments and layered protection across endpoints, networks, and cloud—aligned with compliance standards.
- Cloud solutions: Microsoft 365 and Azure migrations, hybrid cloud deployments, and cost optimization.
- IT strategy and innovation: Strategic planning, development, and support for special initiatives and skunkworks projects
